Planning to be in Las Vegas early August? Well missing the biggest fighting video game competition would be a big mistake. The Evolution Championship Series, known as EVO, will be hosted between August 4 and 6 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
During these days, almost fifteen thousand players will compete in different games such as Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Tekken 7, Guilty Gear Strive, and more. Additionally, during the competition, there will be separate rooms where you can find artists showcasing their art. You might just find one of your favourite video game characters there! Vendors will be selling the latest gaming technology and limited edition items, meanwhile free-to-play arcades, and a huge community ready to fight will be there as well!

The game with the lease amount of participants is Mortal Kombat 11, with 449 participants. Unfortunately, Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on September 19, a month after the competition, for that reason, EVO 2024 will promise bigger things not only for this title but for coming Fighters games.
The hype of fighting games
Fun Fact! When EVO 2004 happened, one of the most important plays in Esports was born. The game was Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike and the match was Justing vs. Diago. Diago, with Ken did the most amazing and impossible parry, blocking all the special attacks from Justin with Chun-Li.
