DSG Parts Ways with NACL Championship Roster to Pave Path to LCS Opportunities

DSG, owned by popular streamer DisguisedToast, made headlines in the North American League of Legends scene this year. They entered the NACL after a mass departure of LCS teams and featured a mix of veterans and academy players. The team quickly captured the community’s hearts and clinched the NACL Summer split championship.

However, just a month after their historic win, DSG is parting ways with their title-winning roster. The team’s statement expressed their commitment to allowing the players to pursue LCS opportunities freely, as the LCS teams prepare for the next season. DisguisedToast explained that as an NACL team, there’s currently no clear pathway for players to move up to the LCS while staying with the team. He encouraged LCS teams to give them a chance.

DSG will remain in the NACL for 2024, promising to continue their journey in the esports scene. DisguisedToast is open to the idea of moving DSG to the LCS in the future, but financial considerations and feasibility make him cautious about taking that step.

Check out what DisguisedToast said afterwards, was he memeing or somewhat serious?
