Riot Games, the prominent game developer, has revealed the comprehensive schedule for VALORANT’s imminent esports off-season, slated to span from September 2023 to January 2024.
Unveiled under the banner of VALORANT OFF//SEASON, this initiative encompasses an impressive array of over 40 global events. These events encompass show matches, LAN tournaments, and open qualifiers, signaling a robust commitment to nurturing the esports ecosystem.
A noteworthy focal point in VALORANT’s competitive journey for 2023 will be the grand culmination of its premier competitive tournament, the VALORANT Champions, presently unfolding in Los Angeles, United States. The impending conclusion of this August event will usher players and teams into a substantial interlude within the competitive calendar, as esteemed partnered leagues such as VCT EMEA are set to re-commence in January 2024.
Riot Games, in a bid to bridge this competitive gap and ensure enduring engagement for players and viewers alike, has meticulously curated an expansive off-season itinerary. Marking the second consecutive year of official off-season tournaments, this iteration presents an augmented lineup of events. Approximately 40 diverse events, varying in scale and global placement, are slated to occur ahead of the impending season. Notably, Riot Games has synergized with third-party tournament organizers to orchestrate these multifaceted events, showcasing a resolute dedication to enriching the esports landscape.

A striking contrast to the previous year’s announcement, which introduced 25 events, this year’s iteration underscores a more comprehensive approach.
The distinctive characteristic of the off-season schedule is its equitable distribution across diverse regions. The Asia-Pacific arena is set to host no less than 17 events, while the Americas region will feature 15, and EMEA will see a minimum of eight. This allocation aptly aligns with regional dimensions, though Riot Games underscores that these figures are not finite, allowing for the potential addition of more events before the year’s close.
In a formal communication, Riot Games stated, “Riot Games will lend unwavering support to the OFF//SEASON events, augmenting their reach through our official channels. An exclusive page showcasing an updated schedule will be provided, alongside comprehensive guidance to ensure seamless experiences throughout each event.”
The forthcoming year is set to witness the revival of notable events and organizers. Events like Coupe de France and BME Superdome in Egypt are poised to return in the EMEA region, alongside the Crossfire Cup in Spain.
The acclaimed Ludwig x Tarik Invitational, which inaugurated the 2022 off-season, is primed for its second iteration in the Americas. Of particular interest, a women’s tournament christened the Neon Dream Women’s VALORANT Invitational has been unveiled through collaboration with the Army National Guard, firmly anchoring itself in North America.
The Pacific region anticipates captivating spectacles including the Red Bull Home Ground in Japan, in addition to the VALORANT India Invitational and the VALORANT Sensational Social Summer Shindig.
