Headlining the roster for the upcoming Apex Legends’ Apex Rising Charity Pro-AM event are renowned pro players, including TSM’s ImperialHal, Verhulst, and Alliance’s Hakis. Scheduled to take place from December 14 to 15, this event aims to raise funds for (RED), a charity dedicated to AIDS awareness and prevention.

Following the success of the initial Apex Rising charity event in April 2023, which raised an impressive $337,668, the second edition is poised to meet and exceed this benchmark. As a community-driven series, Apex Rising 2.0 promises to captivate Apex Legends enthusiasts worldwide, providing amateurs, community members, and streamers with the unique opportunity to compete alongside top-tier professional players.

The inaugural Apex Rising event featured players from over 15 countries, involving 120 amateur and pro players, along with more than 20 broadcast talent and observers. Organizers express confidence that the sequel, Apex Rising 2.0, will continue this growth, fostering a stronger sense of community spirit.

At the heart of Apex Rising is the commitment to empower those who contribute significantly to the Apex Legends community, offering them the chance to compete with the game’s elite. The organizers emphasize their desire to leverage the brightest talents in Apex Legends to “grow, support, and uplift” individuals from grassroots to the professional scene. The event has already demonstrated its ability to attract a diverse range of talent, from community managers to aspiring pros, united in the common goal of raising funds for charity.

Three highly acclaimed Apex Legends professionals, TSM’s ImperialHal and Verhulst, along with Alliance’s Hakis, have confirmed their participation in the event. Additionally, DJ Elephante and actor Jack Falahee from “How to Get Away With Murder” are set to compete in the tournament.

Building on the success of Apex Rising 1.0, tournament organizers have collaborated with specific communities within Apex Legends, fostering a deeper connection among those invested in the game and esports. Notable groups such as AWCS (Apex Women’s Competitive Scene), Liquipedia, Exo Clan, UTFT, and various collegiate and high school organizations are guaranteed slots in this charity fundraising event.

Jon “Fallout” Kefaloukos, a core member of Apex Rising’s event management, highlights the charity tournament’s goals: strengthening the connection between the Apex community and its professional and content creator scene while fundraising for a noble cause.

Apex Rising’s emphasis on community-oriented tournaments aligns with the longstanding tradition in the Apex Legends community. Fallout’s experience with the first content creator tournament in March 2023 fueled his passion for opening up these opportunities to those who rarely get the chance, especially with the added benefit of contributing to a charitable cause.

Amateur and caster applications for the Apex Rising Charity ProAM tournament remain open until November 26, providing members of the Apex community with an extended opportunity to apply. Selected individuals will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to play alongside esports’ most prominent figures. Apex Rising aims to empower community members, allowing them to turn their passion into action for a good cause, creating a positive impact for all involved.

Mark your calendars for Apex Rising, set to unfold on December 14-15, 2023. All funds raised during the charity event will contribute to (RED), an AIDS awareness and prevention charity. (RED) collaborates with top brands, collaborators, and communities to raise awareness of preventable and treatable diseases. Participants in the event will engage in fundraising and streaming activities, aspiring to surpass the record-breaking $337,668 raised during Apex Rising 1.0. ImperialHal, Verhulst, and Hakis represent just the initial trio of the 40 professional players confirmed for the event, with more exciting announcements to come. Brace yourself for the biggest third-party event of the year, featuring all your favorite Apex Legends icons.
