FC Barcelona is set to make its mark on the Valorant scene in the 2024 season. The renowned football club, with its rich history and global fanbase, has reportedly decided to expand its reach into the competitive gaming realm, signaling a new era for both the club and the Esports community.

FC Barcelona’s foray into Valorant esports marks a significant crossover between traditional sports and the rapidly growing world of competitive gaming. With Valorant’s popularity soaring globally, it comes as no surprise that major sports organizations are looking to capitalize on the burgeoning esports market.

Barcelona has been actively venturing into the realm of Esports, with a notable presence in both League of Legends and Rocket League. Since 2022, the football club has maintained a team competing in the LVP Superliga, the tier two Spanish League, in the highly popular game League of Legends.

Additionally, the club delved into the world of Rocket League back in 2019, boasting a team that made appearances at various LAN events. Unfortunately, the Rocket League team faced a setback and was disbanded in late 2021, signaling the challenges and dynamic nature of the Esports landscape.
